As Technical Adviser - construction, you will be the source of support, advice, and expert knowledge of City & Guilds products and services in the construction industry. This support will be given to training providers and employers. You will share and interpret your expert understanding of your industry and its place in the educational landscape with your customers and other stakeholders. You will also have insight into the skills, development and qualification needs of the industry and a proactive approach to embedding key organisational priorities into your work with centres.


This is a home based role that requires significant national travel. The role is available as a two year fixed term contract.

Interviews for the role will start week commencing 18th November.


Working in collaboration with key internal stakeholders, you'll develop a winning customer proposition and delivery of go to market activities. You'll work with sales to win and maintain customers through demonstrating expert knowledge and skills in delivering products and services. You'll also support our Industry Managers and product managers to build business cases for industry propositions by providing insight into customer needs and requirements.


You will have gained construction industry expertise and credibility through having worked in the industry, in a training or teaching role. You will have a deep understanding of policy and funding in construction.


With a passion for the construction industry, you'll have a clear understanding of the skill requirements within it, and an operational understanding of the different settings where your industry’s products and services are delivered. You'll be able to interpret that to internal stakeholders, and will have the ability to share customer contacts with internal stakeholders to ensure customer insights are used to best effect in product and service development.
