Description Of Work
  • Supporting Project Management activities for tasks approved for inclusion including the creation and delivery of project artifacts and plans
  • Analyzing, developing, and documenting business processes involving implementation of application control in the form software whitelisting and blacklisting
  • Providing technical guidance for the implementation of software whitelisting and blacklisting tools
  • Developing documentation and procedures for both internal and external use
  • Providing Tanium systems administration support.
  • Provide analysis and technical expertise to incorporate the security exceptions process into the agency?s whitelisting and blacklisting tool (e.g. Tanium)
  • Develop business process for the evaluation of the security exceptions submitted and the security exceptions process as a whole
  • Develop criteria for evaluation of proposed hardware and software in the agency
  • Work with internal agency staff to document and develop processes and schedule to review existing methodologies for security exceptions
  • Assist internal agency staff with evaluating submitted security exception requests


Basic Qualifications:

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Needed.
  • Bachelor?s degree and 4 years of experience, Master''''s degree and 2 years of experience, or 8 years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Certification in Security+, A+, and Network+
  • 3 years? experience with Splunk and Tanium
  • Minimum of 2 years? experience:
  • With a strong understanding of software evaluation process
  • Evaluating processes and tools for effectiveness and completeness in detecting security incidents
  • With in-depth knowledge of designing, upgrading, maintaining and implementing network devices on a large scale enterprise
  • Working knowledge with Linux, VMware
  • Coordinating and communicating with other remotely deployed team members
  • Developing documentation with processes and procedures
  • Proposing, implementing automation features in a large enterprise environment
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in developing and tailoring reporting from network security tools.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration.
  • Prior experience supporting the government agencies a plus
  • Certification in CISSP and CEH or CCNA and CEH
  • Understanding of business processes supporting IT programs, networks, and/or cyber security programs
  • Understanding of network technologies, work flows, IT reporting, etc.
  • Must be a self-starter, position is remote from the other team members.
  • Must communicate clearly to team members, be comfortable with coordination, collaboration and communication when performing network activities
