Whats the role? We are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and curious research professional, seeking to apply their existing research and intelligence experience to the fast-paced and changing industry of blockchain and cryptocurrency. As a Compliance Data Analyst, you will conduct critical public record intelligence research and analysis to support our due diligence, regulatory, policy and intelligence products and activities. The analyst will provide research around the crypto industry, with a focus on AML compliance and policy, as well as analysing, identifying and collecting data to maintain internal data sources and assist in the delivery of key data products. What youll do?
  • Conduct in-depth research using online, public record, database, finance and media sources to understand the growing global cryptocurrency regulatory environment
  • Conduct targeted research into key actors, sectors or activity in the crypto ecosystem to support the development of compliance risk management solutions
  • Analyse numerical data to understand trends and activity at an industry or entity level
  • Track ongoing cryptocurrency regulatory developments and analyse the impact of those developments on industry participants
  • Create and maintain various data assets, including manual and automated data collection using both internal and third party data sources
  • Review quality of data, and provide feedback to relevant teams on issues
  • Transform and manipulate data from many sources into one single source
  • Support the management and oversight of remote data collection teams Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a data analysis or regulatory/policy research, intelligence or enhanced due diligence role
  • Experience gathering, analysing and evaluating information from a variety of multi-jurisdictional data sources, such as third party public record sources, databases, financial data, media publications and regulatory authorities
  • Highly effective qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
  • Experience working with Excel and other spreadsheet programs to manage and analyse data
  • Ability to research openly and creatively, thinking outside of the box and exploring new data sources
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask, prioritising activities where required
  • Positive and flexible attitude and a willingness to step out of your comfort zone, embrace new initiatives and learn new skills Bonus Points for:
  • Knowledge of global compliance and AML regulatory frameworks
  • Ability to conduct online research in a language other than English, particularly Russian, Mandarin, Japanese, Arabic or Farsi
  • Interest in cryptocurrency
  • Experience with Tableau or a Business Intelligence tool
